Kate McDowell (KKO) is an artist from Portland, USA working in Seoul, South Korea. Born in Saga, Japan in 1994, the artist deals with issues of identity and nationality. In addition, KKO's works feature imagery of wildlife, classic horror cinema, death, and emptiness. Furthermore, KKO's photographs explore a nation from an outsider's perspective, nature in primitive and abstracted glimpses, and the textual world of the city.
